The dental industry has always been separate from the beauty industry, but now they almost fall under the same umbrella. Nowadays, before putting on your favorite red lipstick, you have to make sure you have pearly whites. Not to mention that your teeth have to be straighter than George Clooney’s. Whether you choose to go with the whitening strips or to visit the dentist, sparkly white teeth are a must before putting on makeup. Yes, people have always cared about the health of their teeth, but now more than ever, they care about the appearance. Whitening products are everywhere on social media and tend to be the most promoted besides “Sugar Bear Hair.” One in particular, the LED whitening kit, is on every celebrity’s Instagram. Everyone and their mom advertised the LED whitening kit. From Kylie Jenner’s (a huge beauty mogul) to Khloe Kardashian’s Instagram, this whitening kit is more popular than the Taylor Swift and Kanye West feud.

So clearly the dental and beauty industry are more and more synonymous with one another. But what they all have in common is their immaculate smiles. Therefore along with their latest beauty trends come the latest teeth care and whitening trends. If you look at all the Instagram videos of baking soda and charcoal being used for whitening it is clear that as much as makeup and beauty are on trend, so are the latest dental discoveries. So it is clear that the beauty industry has very much helped the growth of the dental industry and now more than ever do they come hand in hand.
