Dr. Mark Gross

Dr. Gross has been a cornerstone of cosmetic and family dentistry for over four decades. After graduating from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1980, he completed residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was appointed to the medical center’s attending staff. By 1983, he was already taking the lead as co-coordinator of the Department of Dentistry, and soon after, he became the director of Gramercy Park Health Associates—an innovative medical and dental group practice.

Determined to focus more on patient care, Dr. Gross left Mount Sinai and founded Dental Partners of Fifth Avenue, a practice that has become a haven for those seeking world-class restorative and cosmetic treatments. Over the years, he has stayed ahead of the curve, continuously advancing his education and equipping his practice with the latest cutting-edge technologies. Whether it’s lasers, digital x-rays, or the highly sophisticated CBCT (Cone-beam computed tomography) and digital scanning for dental impressions, Dr. Gross ensures that his patients benefit from the best the field has to offer.

Dr. Gross specializes in large restorative and cosmetic cases, and his expertise has attracted an international patient base. But what truly sets him apart is his approach to collaboration. He works together with an in house endodontist and periodontist, coordinating care to achieve results that are nothing short of perfection. His patients appreciate his hands-on, personalized approach, and many have entrusted him with the care of multiple generations within their families. In fact, most of his patients have his personal cell number and feel comfortable calling him for advice, whether it’s about their own dental needs or the care of their loved ones across the globe.

When he’s not transforming smiles, Dr. Gross is overseeing the operations of his practice, mentoring other dentists, and carefully reviewing patients’ treatment plans. Known as the “family dentist” to many, he fosters an environment where both patients and colleagues feel like part of the family.
A long-time resident of New York’s Upper West Side, Dr. Gross enjoys his daily walk or jog through Central Park to and from the office. He shares his life with his wonderful wife, Rikki, and together they’re proud parents of three married children and seven grandchildren. The couple love to travel and are passionate about staying active, with a shared love for tennis and skiing. Whether it’s practicing dentistry, spending time with his loved ones, or enjoying the great outdoors, Dr. Gross believes in making every moment count.
