08 Apr Wedding Smiles
Preparing for your big day? Whether you’re the bride or groom… we understand your appearance on your wedding day is very important. For brides… booking the right hairstylist and makeup artist for the big day is key. Grooms… your job is a little easier. All you really have to worry about is your hair and tuxedo (Or so many people think). But, what about your teeth? A beautiful, healthy smile makes for some great pictures. If you’re sensitive about the way your teeth look due to staining, chipping, or uneven teeth… there are some ways to fix these concerns by the time you take your vows.
There are three types of whitening systems for you to choose from. Zoom bleaching is an in-office 90-minute visit which includes a series of 15-20 minute bleach treatments. Then there is home bleaching, a customized treatment provided by the dental experts who take molds of your teeth to create thin shells of plastic customized to fit your mouth. You’ll be instructed on how to apply the bleaching gel. Most patients wear the trays for two 30-minute periods each day for two weeks. And, combination bleaching… a technique where the patient can start with Zoom bleaching in the office then continues the process at home for at least a week.
Bonding is a fast and inexpensive way to lengthen teeth, mask discolorations, and close unsightly gaps. How is it done? Putty-like bonding material is applied in layers with different color combinations. These layers are then hardened with a light and shaped using polished discs. This process can, in fact, be done in a single visit.
If you’re looking for a more dramatic change to your smile… then you might be interested in porcelain veneers. They are thin shells of durable porcelain bonded to the front of a tooth… changing shape, length, color, and spacing. Porcelain veneers can be completed within just two office visits.
